Niantic has exciting news for Pokémon Go trainers in Chile and India with the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge. This event, running from March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, allows players to actively shape their gaming environment by reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations on the Niantic Wayfarer platform. By participating, you not only contribute to the addition of new PokéStops and Gyms but also earn exclusive rewards.

During the Wayfarer Challenge, you can nominate real-world locations like landmarks, sculptures, and street art to be transformed into PokéStops and Gyms. As you review these nominations, you'll help reach community milestones. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, everyone participating will receive 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Push the goal further to 10,000 approvals, and the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you need to have played in Chile or India recently or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and at least one milestone must be achieved.

Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. This event offers 3x XP for visiting new PokéStops for the first time, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and increased chances of encountering Kecleon. Event Field Research will include encounters with Eevee, and Timed Research will provide opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
