AFK Journey Tier List

Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some excel in high-level endgame content. This tier list considers versatility and performance across various game modes.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a must-have Wilder, delivers substantial damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and excels in PvE and Dream Realm. Thoran remains the best F2P tank, even alongside the luxury unit Phraesto. Reinier is a top support for both PvE and PvP (especially Dream Realm and Arena). Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi, a versatile Wilder, offers strong crowd control across most game modes, potentially excluding Dream Realm (though this may change). Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, increases in strength with each enemy kill.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste, a crucial stat boosting attack frequency and speed. Lyca provides party-wide Haste, while Vala gains Haste per marked enemy kill. Lyca struggles slightly in PvP. Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control. Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm. Alsa, a strong DPS mage, is a viable alternative to Carolina in Eironn-centric PvP teams. Phraesto, a durable Hypogean/Celestial tank, lacks damage output. Ludovic, the first Graveborn healer, works well with Talene and excels in PvP. Cecia, while still a good Marksman, has diminished late-game value. Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility across all game modes.

B-Tier Characters

B-tier characters fill roles but aren't optimal investments. Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent alternative tank to Thoran and Antandra. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays, less effective in other modes. Florabelle is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia at Mythic+, but not essential. Soren performs adequately in PvP but is suboptimal elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has decreased.

C-Tier Characters

C-tier characters are quickly outclassed. Parisa, while offering early-game AoE control, should be replaced as soon as possible.
