Samsung Notes offers a robust platform for creating, editing, and collaborating on documents across mobile, tablet, and PC devices. With the ability to add annotations to PDFs using the S Pen, users can also enrich their documents with images or voice recordings. The app seamlessly integrates with various applications, such as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, enhancing your productivity and collaboration capabilities.

To get started, simply tap the + icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen to create a new note. These notes are saved with the “sdocx” extension, ensuring compatibility across different platforms.

Security is paramount with Samsung Notes. To protect your notes, navigate to the main screen, tap More Options in the upper right corner, select Settings, and then choose Lock Note. Select your preferred note locking method and password. To secure individual notes, tap More Options on the note's screen and select Lock Note.

For those who prefer handwritten notes, simply tap the Handwriting icon while composing a note. Your handwriting will be displayed directly on the note, offering a personal touch to your documentation. Adding photos is equally straightforward; tap the photo icon within your note to capture a new image or load and edit an existing one. You can also incorporate voice recordings by tapping the Voice Recording icon, allowing you to create multimedia notes.

Samsung Notes provides a variety of writing tools to enhance your note-taking experience. By tapping the Pen icon, you can choose from pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and more, along with a range of colors and thicknesses. The Eraser icon lets you refine your work by removing unwanted content.

Importing notes and memos from other devices is made easy with the Smart Switch feature, which transfers data from S Note and Memo. Additionally, you can import previously created notes and memos using your Samsung account.

Regarding app access permissions, Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to deliver its full range of services. Required permissions include Storage to save or load document files. Optional permissions such as Photos and Videos, Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera enhance the app's functionality but are not necessary for basic use.
