Second Sea Rod Enchantment and Overview
Great Dreamer Rod
The Great Dreamer Rod is ideal for fishing enthusiasts, offering a 65% lure speed and well-balanced stats. Its unique feature is a 1% chance to summon Cthulhu, which guarantees the Cursed Touch mutation on a fish. While exciting, its rarity makes it less reliable for E$ farming. Consider using Hasty or Steady enchantments to speed up fishing, and Lucky or Divine to enhance its already solid luck stat.
Free Spirit Rod
A top choice for late-game players, the Free Spirit Rod boasts a 150% luck boost and excellent control. Its Skeletal Flowering passive has a 20% chance to trigger, applying the Bloom mutation to your catch. It also features a “stab” ability that speeds up minigame progress by about 6%. Enhance its average lure speed with Hasty or Swift enchantments to maximize its potential.
Verdant Shear Rod
This rod is a powerhouse with a 150% luck stat and excellent control. Its 10% chance to grow a tree during daytime can grant Mother Nature, Green Leaf, or Brown Wood mutations. Use Sundial Totems to extend daytime and Hasty or Swift enchantments to catch fish faster during the tree's active period.
Azure of Lagoon Rod
Perfect for catching massive fish, the Azure of Lagoon Rod has a 100,000kg max weight and 55% resilience. Its “stab” passive speeds up minigame progress by about 6%. To counter its negative control, use Controlled enchantments, and Hasty or Swift to boost its mediocre lure speed.
Blazebringer Rod
The Blazebringer Rod features a combo-based passive that, after 10 consecutive perfect catches, increases luck by +10% and may apply Ember (15%) and Cracked (10%) mutations. After 35 perfect catches, it boosts luck to +25%, guarantees Ember mutations (100%), and has a 5% chance for Emberflame mutations. Precision is key, so Resilient or Controlled enchantments are crucial.
Frog Rod
With a 100% luck stat, the Frog Rod spawns a frog with each perfect catch, increasing luck by +0.5x for 2 minutes, stackable up to +1.5x. Despite its low lure speed and resilience, Resilient or Controlled enchantments are essential, and Hasty or Swift can help overcome its slow lure speed.
Firefly Rod
The Firefly Rod offers the highest 75% lure speed but at the cost of negative control and zero resilience. It's ideal for farming common, lightweight fish. Enhance its below-average luck with Lucky or Divine enchantments, and use Resilient or Controlled to manage its negative control.
Wildflower Rod
An early Second Sea rod, the Wildflower Rod has good resilience and control, with a 700kg max weight. It's suitable for catching heavier fish but may be outclassed by First Sea rods. Use Hasty or Swift enchantments to boost its efficiency.
Adventurer’s Rod
The Adventurer’s Rod is a temporary option with low stats. It's best to stick with a better First Sea rod until you can upgrade. It's not worth investing in enchantments for this rod.
How to Enchant Second Sea Rods in Fisch

To enchant your Rod in Fisch, visit the cave beneath the Statue of Sovereignty in the First Sea. You'll need an Enchant Relic. The island is easily accessible from the starting island; sail slightly to the right from the pier. Pay 400 E$ to a guard for a special token to use the lift, which takes you to the cave with the altar. Using the Enchant Relic at the altar will apply a random Enchantment to your Rod. You may need to repeat the process to get the desired enchantment.
This guide covers all you need to know about the Rods in the Second Sea update. For additional resources like freebies and E$, check out our Fisch Codes article to help you acquire the new rods.
