Avex Pictures has just unveiled an exciting new mobile game inspired by the beloved "Made in Abyss" franchise. After enthralling fans with its deep and mysterious narrative through manga, anime, and a 3D action RPG, the captivating story of "Made in Abyss" is now making its way to mobile devices for the very first time.

What’s the Scoop?

The newly announced mobile game, titled "Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey," was introduced alongside the launch of its official X account. This account is expected to provide regular updates as the game approaches its release date. While details are currently sparse, we know that the game will be a casual mobile title, designed for both Android and iOS platforms. At the moment, it's slated for release only in Japan, with no information yet on a potential global launch.

Dived into the Abyss Yet?

"Made in Abyss" originally began as a manga in 2012, created by Akihito Tsukushi and serialized on Web Comic Gamma. The story centers on Riko, a young orphan residing in the town of Orth, which is perched on the edge of a colossal vertical hole known as the Abyss. This enigmatic chasm is teeming with ancient technology, bizarre organisms, and a gripping mystery that consumes those who dare to explore its depths. Riko is driven by the dream of following in the footsteps of her mother, Lyza, a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished within the Abyss.

During her journey, Riko encounters Reg, a half-robot boy who has no recollection of his past. Together, they embark on a perilous descent into the Abyss, fully aware that their adventure might be a one-way trip. The manga's success led to an anime adaptation in 2017, followed by a sequel film, "Dawn of the Deep Soul," released in Japan in 2020. Additionally, in 2022, Chime Corporation released a console and PC RPG titled "Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness."
