Unfortunately for the gamer, Sweeney's reply was brief and definitive. He stated that the release on Steam won't happen, leaving no room for further discussion. Disappointed, the user shared their backup plan: they intend to purchase Alan Wake 2 on Xbox instead.

Alan Wake 2 is unique among Epic Games Store exclusives because Epic Games not only published the horror title but also co-financed its development alongside Remedy.
