Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Launched at $2,399
Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This represents one of the most competitive prices available for a prebuilt system featuring the RTX 5080, especially as other brands continue to increase their prices following the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next closest option for an RTX 5080 equipped PC is priced over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, sourcing a standalone RTX 5080 GPU could cost nearly as much as this entire system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, alongside the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, boasting 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is part of Nvidia's new Blackwell series, which has been highly sought after since its release. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be a significant upgrade – its performance lead over the RTX 4080 is minimal, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers upgrading from older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a fantastic choice, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis maintains a design similar to the 2024 R16 model but includes minor aesthetic and cooling enhancements, along with updated internal components. The I/O panel has been repositioned to the top of the case, and the tempered glass window now covers the entire side panel, eliminating the need for side vents. Air intakes are now located at the bottom and front, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the system cleaner. Inside, you'll find a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The initial release of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, including the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5070 Ti followed in February, but like the GPUs, prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these new cards are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing significant delivery delays.
