Control 2, Wanderstop, and More Remain on Track

Following the mass resignation, developers partnered with Annapurna have confirmed the continued progress of their projects. Bloomberg News reported initial chaos as developers sought clarity on future agreements.

Remedy Entertainment quickly clarified that its Control 2 deal (including Alan Wake and Control AV rights) is with Annapurna Pictures, and Remedy is self-publishing, ensuring continued development and launch.

Davey Wreden (The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road confirmed Wanderstop's development remains on schedule, with Wreden stating its release is imminent. Team Ivy Road similarly assured fans of continued progress despite the unforeseen circumstances.

Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, also seems unaffected, though the team acknowledged the loss of the Annapurna Interactive team's support. They promised regular updates.

Beethoven & Dinosaur, creators of The Artful Escape, confirmed continued development of their upcoming title, Mixtape, one of Annapurna Interactive's most anticipated games.

Conversely, the status of several other games, including No Code's Silent Hill: Downfall, Furcula's Morsels, Great Ape Games' The Lost Wild, Dinogod's Bounty Star, and the internally developed Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, remains uncertain pending developer statements.

Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison reassured Bloomberg of continued support for its developer and publishing partners during this transition. While uncertainty persists for some projects, many developers have expressed optimism regarding their games' futures.

Annapurna Interactive suffered a significant setback this month with the resignation of its entire 25-person team, following failed negotiations for studio independence, shortly after the departure of former president Nathan Gary.
