TouchArcade's Weekly Update Roundup: Noteworthy Game Updates

Hello everyone! It's that time again for our weekly review of significant game updates. This week, Shaun tackles a surprising number of free-to-play match-three puzzle game updates, but don't worry, there's plenty of other exciting news to share. Peglin (Free): This week's coveted UMMSotW (Update Making Me Smile of the Week) award goes to Peglin! Version 1.0 introduces Cruciball challenges up to level 20, a new Slime Hive mini-boss battle, and numerous tweaks, bug fixes, and balance improvements. A well-deserved update for an already excellent game.

Brawl Stars (Free): Get ready for Brawl Stars time! A major update features a SpongeBob SquarePants event, the addition of two new Brawlers (Moe – Mythic and Kenji – Legendary), and several new Hypercharges for existing characters. This content will roll out over the next few months.

stitch. (Premium): The relaxing puzzle game stitch. receives a satisfying update: more Hoops! This update introduces a new set of Hoops puzzles with a martial arts theme. More puzzles are always welcome, regardless of theme.

Genshin Impact (Free): Genshin Impact expands with the Natlan region launch, introducing three new characters (Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina), new weapons, events, stories, and artifacts. A substantial update, but consistent with previous releases.

Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure (Apple Arcade): Another match-three puzzle game update! This Temple Run spin-off adds 100 new levels and refreshed tournaments. A significant content boost for dedicated players.

Jetpack Joyride 2 (Apple Arcade): In this update, Barry Steakfries blasts off into space! A fitting escape from the mundane.

Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop: New character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol are added to Adventure Mode, along with a new playable character, Meena (episode-less, for now). Seven new music tracks are also available.

Hearthstone (Free): Hearthstone launches Battlegrounds Season 8 ("Trinkets & Travels"), introducing new content and the Trinket Shop, replacing Buddies.

Toon Blast (Free): Fifty new levels arrive in Toon Blast, featuring a bee-themed episode.

Royal Match (Free): One hundred new levels and a new jousting arena are added to Royal Match. King Robert's fate remains uncertain...
