Studio Wildcard recently shared an updated roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of planned updates for the remastered survival crafting game. Initially launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates from the Redmond, Washington-based developer.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard released its detailed roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first major update on this roadmap is not a content addition but a technical patch scheduled for March 2025. This update will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5, promising significant performance enhancements. Alongside this upgrade, the developer plans to reinstate support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which had been temporarily removed due to engine-related issues in the latter half of 2024.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download individual ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs. This selective approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size. In April 2025, players can look forward to new content, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

A new premium map is slated for release in June 2025, with further details expected to be revealed in early spring. Another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will join the game in August 2025.

In 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering the Genesis expansions from ARK: Survival Evolved. Genesis: Part 1 is set for release in April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both parts will launch alongside segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content addition previously announced as part of the season pass. The remastered Fjordur map will become available as a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are scheduled to be introduced throughout 2026.

While the roadmap provides a comprehensive overview, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises planned for ARK: Survival Ascended over the next two years.
