Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games have announced that the global version of their RPG will be shutting down soon. When Is the Atelier Resleriana EOS?

The global version of Atelier Resleriana will cease operations on March 28th, 2025, coinciding with the Japanese version's 1.5th anniversary celebration. While Japanese players progress to Chapter 22 (Part 2), global players will be concluding their journey at Chapter 21 (Part 1).

The in-game purchase system has been disabled, but players can still use their Lodestar Gems until the final day. Koei Tecmo has committed to providing new content and events until the shutdown.

Adding to the irony, the global version recently celebrated its first anniversary on January 25th, making the shutdown announcement a bitter pill to swallow.

Why Is It Shutting Down?

The developers have stated that after evaluating their ability to meet player expectations, they've decided to end the service. The game failed to resonate with its audience. Just a couple of months post-launch, players began voicing concerns over the gacha system. Despite the appeal of the main characters, the gameplay and monetization strategies didn't hold up, and the power creep was too significant.
