Avowed: A Solo Fantasy Adventure – No Multiplayer Planned

While Avowed has been compared to Skyrim, its gameplay is more akin to Obsidian's The Outer Worlds – a single-player experience. This means there's no multiplayer functionality whatsoever. Forget co-op adventures or PvP battles; you'll be facing AI-controlled enemies and companions throughout your journey. Any companions you encounter will be non-player characters (NPCs). There are also no features like player invasions, as seen in some other games.

Initially, Obsidian Entertainment did intend to include co-op in Avowed. However, this feature was cut during development, with the studio citing a focus on other aspects of the game. While co-op was initially used to attract investors, the final product is a dedicated single-player experience.

Currently, there's no known co-op mod in development for Avowed, though the possibility remains. Creating such a mod would be a significant undertaking. Similar mods for other games, such as Skyrim's co-op mod, appeared years after release. Obsidian has confirmed they have no plans to add multiplayer post-launch.

In short: Avowed is a solo adventure. No multiplayer, no co-op, no PvP.
