NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, as the game never even reached its fully polished launch. Following a global test in August 2023 and early access in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.

The game servers will officially close on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. However, players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.

Refunds for Android and Steam players can be requested from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will be unavailable afterward.

The official Battle Crush website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media accounts and the Discord server will be deactivated on January 31st, 2025.

Unexpected Closure?

The announcement has understandably disappointed players who invested time and effort into Battle Crush. While enjoyable, the game's somewhat clunky controls and pacing issues likely contributed to its premature closure. It simply didn't quite capture the desired level of polish.
