Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite title, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. Serving as a spiritual successor to his 2020 hit, Herodom, Battledom represents roughly two years of part-time development. Frenken describes it as a closer realization of his initial vision for Herodom.

Battledom offers dynamic RTS combat, enabling players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Players directly target enemies and manually operate siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic formations further enhance gameplay.

Units are created using in-game currency, initially equipped with basic weaponry and no armor. Strategic customization is key, as players equip units with a variety of weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats like range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Resource management is central. Players gather resources such as wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft these upgrades at various crafting stations, including the blacksmith and magician.

Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating, showcasing over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new character customization options and farm additions.
