Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Testing: Get Ready for Action!

Activision's official Call of Duty podcast has confirmed the highly anticipated Black Ops 6 beta testing period. Find out how you can participate in this exciting pre-release event.

Two-Phase Beta Access

The Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta will unfold in two stages:

• Early Access (August 30th - September 4th): Available to those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass plans.
• Open Beta (September 6th - 9th): Free for everyone!

Mark your calendars and prepare for battle! The full game launches October 25th, 2024, on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

New Gameplay Features

Treyarch's associate director of design, Matt Scronce, revealed some key details during the podcast:

• Extensive Multiplayer Maps: Black Ops 6 will launch with 16 multiplayer maps—12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
• Zombies Mode Returns: The popular Zombies mode is back with two brand-new maps.
• Omnimovement Mechanic: A new movement system will add a fresh dynamic to gameplay.
• Traditional Scorestreaks: The classic scorestreak system returns, resetting upon player elimination.
• Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: A dedicated slot for melee weapons eliminates the need to sacrifice a secondary weapon.
