Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While specific details regarding Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The overwhelmingly successful launch of Black Ops 6, boasting record player numbers in its first month, has recently seen a downturn. This dip is largely attributed to ongoing issues with cheating in Ranked Play and persistent server problems. The community hopes the new season will revitalize the game, addressing these concerns and recapturing the initial excitement.

Season 2 Launch Confirmed

Treyarch's recent update for Black Ops 6 confirmed the January 28th launch date for Season 2. While addressing Zombie mode fixes in the January 9th patch notes, they mentioned certain improvements delayed until the next season, subsequently revealing the launch date. Season 1 delivered a substantial content update, including new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events. For Warzone, the integration with Black Ops 6 introduced a new movement system, weaponry, significant gameplay changes, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The season also featured the return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda from Black Ops 4.

Looking ahead to Season 2, while details are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at further classic map remasters. In a December interview, Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from remaster consideration, though original maps remain a priority.
