Lenovo Legion Go S: SteamOS on the Go
Lenovo unveiled the Legion Go S, the world's first officially licensed SteamOS handheld (as per their January 7th, 2025, press release). This 8-inch device boasts VRR1 support, TrueStrike controllers with adjustable triggers and hall-effect joysticks, cloud saves, and remote play functionality. Access to the full Steam ecosystem—library, cloud, chat, recording, and updates—is seamlessly integrated.
The SteamOS version launches in May 2025 at $499.99 USD, while a Windows version will be available earlier in January 2025, starting at $729.99 USD. Separately, Valve announced ongoing work to bring SteamOS compatibility to other handheld devices.
