What Is Civilization VII?

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is the newest entry in a strategy game series that originated in 1991. Developed by Firaxis, it allows you to select a historical leader to guide your civilization to global supremacy. You can construct cities, create architectural marvels, and expand your dominion through conquest or diplomacy with neighboring civilizations.

You have significant freedom in directing your civilization's development. You can adhere closely to historical paths or deviate to create a unique narrative of your own.

A major new feature in Civ 7 is the ability to switch civilizations across different Ages during a single playthrough. Each game run consists of three Ages: Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern, with the only constant being the leader you've chosen.
