Firaxis Games and 2K have announced that the highly anticipated turn-based strategy game, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, has reached its gold master status. This milestone signifies the completion of primary development, virtually guaranteeing a timely release on February 11th. The game boasts Steam Deck verification and will launch across all major platforms.

Civilization VII introduces several exciting features designed to enhance gameplay. A key addition is the new Legend system, rewarding players for completing campaigns – a feature intended to encourage players to see campaigns through to their conclusion.

While a niche genre, Sid Meier's Civilization VII remains one of the year's most eagerly awaited titles, although its pre-release buzz doesn't quite match the hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI. Priced at the standard $70, pre-orders are now open.
