Climb Knight is getting a major new update later this month, including extra minigames
If there's one thing you can say about mobile developer AppSir, it's that their games are always worth a look. From our glowing review of Spooky Pixel Hero to their latest release, Climb Knight, AppSir consistently delivers distinct indie fun that hits the mark.
You might be thinking, "Didn't you already cover Climb Knight?" Yes, we did, and we gave it a fairly positive review. Surprisingly, the team at AppSir was taken aback by the warm reception Climb Knight received. In celebration, they've announced a major update set to launch on February 25th, and the best part? It's completely free!
So, what's in store? The update will introduce three new one-bit minigames and a mysterious advisor character, drawing inspiration from Apple Newton shareware. Knowing AppSir's penchant for surprises, there's likely more to this advisor and the new gameplay than meets the eye.

Climbing up
AppSir showcases how a dedicated indie developer can break the mold and succeed in the mobile space. While I wouldn't go so far as to call them the "New Blood" of smartphones, their work shares similarities with the excellent Faith trilogy, particularly in the spooky, retro aesthetic of their back catalog.
For those interested in more of AppSir's work, you can check out our thoughts on Spooky Pixel Hero – another excellent release well worth your time. If you're curious about what developer Darius had to say about Climb Knight's reception, be sure to read his latest blog post.
