Dead Cells\' final two updates delayed, but will release early next year
Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, but a release date is set!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been delayed, but a new release date has been confirmed: February 18th, 2025. Both updates, already released on console and PC, will bring a wealth of new content to the mobile version.
What's in store?
"Clean Cut" introduces two exciting new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (Survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (Brutality-focused). Players will also meet the Tailor's Daughter, a new NPC who allows customization of character head appearances.
"The End is Near" lives up to its name by adding challenging new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. This update also features new skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength, which significantly boosts damage when cursed.
Playdigious, the developer, has consistently provided generous free content for Dead Cells. While the end of these free updates was initially met with some disappointment (to allow the studio to focus on new projects), the substantial additions in these final updates justify the wait.
The final two updates will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025. New players venturing into the challenging world of Dead Cells are encouraged to consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the unforgiving combat.
