Phase 1

As you step into the eerie castle setting, with floors stained by a crimson liquid, prepare to face the Blade Phantom. This ghostly adversary tests your stamina management and aggression with its relentless assaults. Here's what you need to know about its attacks:

• Six-hit combo: Four punches followed by two kicks, with the second kick delayed for a surprise.
• Three-hit combo: Two punches and a downward kick.
• Four-hit combo: Starts with a right hook, followed by two kicks, and ends with a leaping kick smash.
• Three-hit combo: Flashing punches leading to a grab that you must dodge.

Beyond these melee attacks, the Blade Phantom can summon a giant hammer, causing damage and spawning red spikes. If it opts for a spear, anticipate a quick throw and a teleporting smash. When wielding a blade, expect a swift six-hit combo. It may also vanish and dash around before striking.

Mastering the timing of these attacks is crucial. Parry or dodge to create openings for your counterattacks, depleting the Phantom's stamina for a Brutal Attack. Continue this strategy until you reduce its health by about half, triggering the transition to Phase 2.

In the second phase, the Blade Phantom initiates with four claw attacks, followed by a high spear throw. Evade the spear's impact zone and brace for a leaping swipe. Subsequent attacks include three greatsword slashes and a concluding hammer smash.

While the Phantom retains many of its previous moves, new additions include a spear thrust and follow-up, and swift dual-wielding attacks ranging from four to six hits. Teleportation becomes more frequent, and when wielding the greatsword, be wary of multiple slashes culminating in a Burst Attack, signaled by a red P-like symbol. Use the Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to parry this, restoring your stamina and exposing the boss to further damage.

Exploit the Phantom's stamina depletion to launch Brutal Attacks, but time them carefully to maximize damage as the window closes. Victory over the Blade Phantom rewards you with 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear items, a Shieldsman’s Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
