Fergusson告诉VGC：“你会注意到，暴雪很少关闭任何游戏。你仍然可以玩《暗黑破坏神》、《暗黑破坏神2》、《暗黑破坏神2：重制版》和《暗黑破坏神3》，对吧？所以，只要人们在玩暴雪游戏，那就很棒。”

Fergusson进一步表示，暴雪希望玩家“玩他们想玩的游戏”。虽然如果更多玩家从《暗黑破坏神3》转向《暗黑破坏神4》，对公司来说会有经济效益，但他指出，公司“并没有试图积极地去引导玩家转移”。
