After Yasuke hears rumors of “worse men” from his past being active in Japan, players must embark on the Yasuke’s Past quests, which involve completing the Templar Hunt Objective Board. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how and where to find every Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, starting with Kimura Kei.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first clue to Kimura Kei’s whereabouts comes from a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If locating him proves challenging, utilize Scouts to pinpoint his exact location. Look for a building marked with green flags next to a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you’ll meet a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Engage him in conversation, and he will direct you to a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is situated in northern Kii, at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. He walks with a group of ronin, but avoid engaging them. Approach Kumabe Ujiie and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him, and he will lead you to Kimura Kei’s location.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei’s Training Grounds are located in the southwest portion of Kii, just north of the shore, between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon arrival, follow the other students to reach Kimura Kei. He will recognize Yasuke and order his students to attack.

As Yasuke, you'll be surrounded by attacking ronin. Defeat them, but be prepared for more to come as you advance towards Kimura Kei. Equip the highest level armor and weapons available. Exploit the explosive red barrels along the path by shooting them with your bow or teppo to clear groups of enemies efficiently.

The encounter with Kimura Kei triggers a boss fight, where stealth assassination isn't an option. Equip armor with an engraving that enhances your ability to parry unblockable attacks, as Kimura Kei frequently uses them. The fight has multiple phases:

• First Phase: Kimura Kei uses a standard Katana. Parry his attacks to make him vulnerable, then use posture attacks and abilities to break his armor.
• Second Phase: When his armor is nearly broken, he switches to a Long Katana and a standard Katana, increasing his use of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking when safe.
• Final Phase: Once his health is halved, the fight moves outside. Kimura Kei unleashes high-damage unblockable attacks with both Katanas. Dodge frequently and maintain distance when necessary. Using a bow or teppo from a distance can be highly effective.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Eliminating Kimura Kei grants you 3,000 XP, Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor features an engraving that reduces the impact of enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage by 10% for every 10% of his health missing.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen, who is aiding the Portuguese in Tamba, becomes a target on the Templar Board. Before reaching her, you must speak with several contacts, starting with the spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

The spy Yasuke needs to consult is located in Southeast Tamba, in the Silver Lands. Enter the investigation area to find him sitting on a rug under a small structure next to a wooden cart and crates. He will provide the location of the Silver Queen.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

The Silver Queen can be found in the town of Tada, just northeast of Tada Kakurega. She will be conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach and engage her in conversation, then follow her to her house for tea. You will awaken in Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon waking from the drugged tea, Yasuke finds himself locked in a room in Tada Silver Mine. Break the door open by sprinting into it. After dealing with the guards, you can choose to fight or sneak your way out. Sneaking is the most efficient method. Head southwest out of the mine, eliminating any enemies in your path.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen requires Yasuke’s help to rescue her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on Yasuke’s true target. After escaping Tada Silver Mine, head north to Kameyama Castle. If you need supplies like Ammo or Rations, visit the Kakurega just north of Senneji Temple upon entering Kameyama.

Activate Pathfinder to navigate through Kameyama Castle, eliminating guards along the suggested path. You will encounter a bleeding servant in the living quarters who will give you a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key to the Tenshu, enter the main castle building and interact with the marked door to free Akechi Mitsuyoshi. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to neutralize threats from a distance. Once he is safe, return to the castle to confront Baltazar and reclaim Akechi Mitsuyoshi’s Katana. Baltazar is surrounded by soldiers, so take them out first for a one-on-one fight. Use abilities and posture attacks to break Baltazar’s guard and inflict significant damage.

After defeating Baltazar and retrieving the Katana, head north to Atago Shrine. Converse with Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to the Shrine to receive the location of your next target.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s final target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan and can be found in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle. This castle is perched high atop a mountain, accessible via a winding road. Enable Pathfinder for the most direct route.

Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with numerous enemies and alarm bells. Since stealth is less viable for Yasuke, prioritize disabling the alarm bells with your bow or teppo. As you ascend, you’ll reach a set of double doors leading to Nuno Caro.

Eliminate Nuno Caro’s men as you ascend the castle. At the summit, you’ll confront Nuno Caro in a boss fight. He wields a sword and pistol, using a combo of up to four swipes with his sword, which you can block or parry. Dodge when his pistol glows red to avoid its shots. Utilize Abilities to inflict high damage and create openings for attack, cycling this strategy until Nuno Caro is defeated.

Completing the assassination of Nuno Caro finalizes the Templar Hunt Objective Board.
