The Hill Troll resides in a hidden cave located on the side of a mountain in Bahlgar. To reach it, one of the easiest paths starts from the elevator in Lakeshire. Head down to Bahlgar as you normally would when hunting Beastmen. However, instead of jumping down to engage the Beastmen, follow the mountain wall and circle around it. Pass the two platinum deposits and keep an eye out for an opening along the mountainside. The entrance to the Troll cave should be visible. Jump into the opening—preferably while mounted—to access the cave quickly. Though it may seem tricky at first, once you’ve done it once, returning becomes second nature. Hill Troll – Strategy, Loot, and Quest

Despite its imposing appearance, the Hill Troll is considered one of the more manageable mini-bosses in *Rune Slayer*. Due to its frequent respawn time and valuable drops, many players return to fight it repeatedly.

It’s strongly advised not to attempt this fight solo. While the Troll’s attacks are predictable and mostly blockable, having at least one ally significantly improves your chances of success. Another benefit: after being defeated, the Hill Troll respawns every 90 seconds, making it ideal for repeated farming sessions.

The Hill Troll wields a massive pillar and relies on slow yet powerful attacks. Most moves can be parried or blocked. However, when it raises the weapon overhead with both hands, immediately evade, as this attack causes a stun effect. Properly timed counters, especially using the Warrior Class, often result in a successful stagger, giving you a brief window to deal extra damage.
