GungHo Entertainment, the creators of the crossover card battle game Teppen, is developing a retro-style RPG in collaboration with Disney. The upcoming title, Disney Pixel RPG, will feature a massive roster of pixel-art Disney characters.

Disney Pixel RPG, launching later this year, allows players to recruit and battle with iconic Disney characters across numerous worlds. Gameplay will blend battle, action, and rhythm elements. Players can also create and customize their own avatars to fight alongside their favorite Disney characters. The game incorporates auto-battling with options for direct control during key moments. The storyline centers on combating mysterious programs plaguing the pixelated Disney worlds.

This isn't GungHo's first foray into large-franchise crossover games. Given Disney's extensive library, this project promises an even broader range of characters than previous endeavors.
