Nintendo has unveiled a thrilling new addition to its gaming lineup with the announcement of Donkey Kong Bananza, a 3D platforming action game exclusive to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Set to launch on July 17, 2025, this exciting adventure will be available for $69.99. The debut gameplay trailer was showcased during the Nintendo Direct, giving fans a first look at the chaotic fun that awaits.

The official description of Donkey Kong Bananza reads:

Get ready for Donkey Kong Bananza, a brand-new 3D platforming action adventure – available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Crash, bash, and climb through nearly everything in DK’s path and tear off chunks of terrain to swing around and throw in groundbreaking exploration. The more that is demolished with powerful punches, the more areas open up to discover. Break on through this adventure full of mayhem, surprises, and bananas when Donkey Kong Bananza crashes onto Nintendo Switch 2 July 17.

The Nintendo Switch 2, the much-anticipated successor to the original Switch, is set to hit the market on June 5, 2025, at a price of $449.99. This new console comes packed with a range of accessories, including:

The standalone Mario Kart World game is priced at $79.99, marking a $10 increase from Nintendo's most expensive Switch game to date.
