A major French gaming website, Gamekult, accidentally revealed the potential release date for the highly anticipated DOOM: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the modern DOOM games. Gamekult prematurely published an article announcing a May 15th release, though the article was swiftly removed. However, the information was captured in the site's RSS feed.

This leak corroborates previous reports from insider NateTheHate, who also indicated a May release for DOOM: The Dark Ages. The convergence of these two sources strongly suggests a May launch window.

Microsoft is expected to officially unveil DOOM: The Dark Ages this Thursday during their Developer_Direct showcase. This medieval-themed prequel promises to maintain the brutal, demon-slaying action characteristic of the modern DOOM games.
