Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a little longer. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

In Dredge, players become a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the job is straightforward – catching and selling fish. But things quickly take a dark turn with the appearance of strange sea creatures, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island. The game blends fishing mechanics with a creeping sense of dread and Lovecraftian horror.

You can register for the closed mobile beta via this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received suggest it's a game worth waiting for, especially if you haven't experienced it yet.

A Mobile Port's Challenges

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Adapting such a rich and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch. This ensures a smoother and more enjoyable mobile experience.
