Developer Funcom has officially announced that the PC version will launch on May 20. While console players will have to wait a bit longer, everyone can get a taste of what's to come with the latest gameplay trailer.

What does the trailer showcase? A sweeping vista of the desert, intricate base-building mechanics, thrilling combat sequences, and, of course, the iconic sandworms—everything you’d expect from a game set in the Dune universe.

The protagonist of Dune: Awakening is a prisoner thrust onto the planet Arrakis. The game's narrative kicks off with the protagonist's daring escape from captivity, leading into a perilous quest to unravel the mystery behind the vanished Fremen.

To ensure that PC players are fully prepared for the launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. These tools enable players to optimize their game settings and craft their characters ahead of time, ensuring a seamless experience when Dune: Awakening officially hits the shelves.
