Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6: Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age Arrives October 23rd

HoYoverse has unveiled details for Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming version 2.6 update, titled "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," launching October 23rd. This update transports players to Penacony and its vibrant Paperfold University, bustling with the energy of a new semester and anniversary celebrations.

New Character and Gameplay

The spotlight shines on Rappa, a new 5-star Galaxy Ranger character who also identifies as a ninja. Her gameplay revolves around ninjutsu, incorporating ninja mantras, scrolls, graffiti, and even rap. Rappa's quest involves hunting down the villainous Evil Ninja Osaru. Her ultimate attack, Sealform Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade, features a first-person perspective, allowing players to dramatically slice through enemies and significantly reduce their Toughness.

Events and Updates

• Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription: This event casts players as band managers for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party, collaborating with Rappa to create an unforgettable performance.

• Limited Character Reruns: The warp event will feature the return of 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine during the first and second halves of the update.

• Simulated Universe Expansion: The Simulated Universe receives a substantial update, introducing the third DLC, "The Unknowable Domain," a challenging expansion building upon the success of "Swarm Disaster" and "Gold and Gears." This DLC delves into the aftermath of the Second Emperor's War, focusing on the powerful Scepter system—an advanced external thinking unit. Players will collect and upgrade Scepters, strategizing synergies to overcome a formidable final boss.
