Join Forces with Eminem to Eliminate His Alter Ego, Slim Shady

In the next Elusive Target mission for *Hitman: World of Assassination*, the iconic bald assassin teams up with none other than Eminem himself. Their objective: to assassinate the rapper's notorious alter ego, Slim Shady. The announcement, made during the November 2025 Xbox Partner Preview, is every bit as unexpected as it sounds.

Running from December 1 through December 31, this free mission is accessible to all players. Newcomers can access it via the game's Starter Pack demo, while existing owners can play through the Elusive Target system. As with all Elusive Targets, you only get one official attempt to take down Slim Shady, though you can restart until the target is eliminated—a familiar rule for series veterans.

To accompany the event, IO Interactive is launching an Eminem vs. Slim Shady Pack on December 1 for $4.99. This DLC includes a new suit for Agent 47, four unique items, and themed home base cosmetics related to the mission.

This collaboration serves as a transmedia extension of Eminem's recent artistic narrative. Following his 2024 album *The Death of Slim Shady*, which explored the concept of retiring his controversial persona, this mission lets players physically enact that symbolic demise. IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak stated in a GamesIndustry.biz interview that the studio worked closely with Eminem to weave elements from his album and classic tracks into the mission's "kill Slim Shady" theme.

In the mission, Eminem acts as Agent 47's handler, providing briefing and guidance throughout. The level is packed with Easter eggs for dedicated fans, including the surreal possibility of using "mom's spaghetti" as a weapon against NPCs.

While deeply meta, the mission delves into the fractured psyche of the rap legend with surreal style. According to IO Interactive via Xbox Wire, the setting is a twisted version of the Hokkaido map, now reconceived as "Popsomp Hills Asylum." Here, Slim Shady operates a broadcasting studio, "delivering erratic live performances to a captive audience of staff and inmates."

This isn't Hitman's first celebrity crossover. Previous Elusive Targets have featured icons like Bruce Lee, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Sean Bean. Like those missions, the Slim Shady event is time-limited, likely due to licensing agreements with the artists or their estates.

Nonetheless, Hitman players have an entire month to track down Eminem's dark alter ego. Agents must execute their plans flawlessly to ensure that when the mission concludes, the real Slim Shady is the only one left standing.
