Farlight 84 is back with a bang, introducing the "Hi, Buddy!" expansion that's set to launch today. This update is brimming with exciting new features, including the much-anticipated Buddy System, fresh events, and revamped maps.

The star of the show in the "Hi, Buddy!" expansion is undoubtedly the new Buddy System. These adorable pets, known as Buddies, are here to add a touch of cuteness to the battlefield, potentially making it feel less intense. But don't let their charm fool you; these Buddies are more than just for show—they'll assist you during gameplay.

There are two types of Buddies to keep an eye on: Common Buddies and Archon Buddies. Common Buddies are easier to capture and come with handy abilities. On the flip side, Archon Buddies are rarer and boast some truly powerful skills.

To capture these Buddies, you'll need Buddy Orbs, which you can find scattered throughout the map. These Orbs aren't just for capturing Buddies; they can also store up to six tactical items, making them incredibly versatile.

So, who are these Buddies you'll be teaming up with? The "Hi, Buddy!" expansion introduces ten Buddies to Farlight 84. The common ones include Buzzy, Morphdrake, Petal Peeper, Smokey, Snatchpaw, Squeaky, Sparky, and Zephy. The Archon Buddies are Time Dominator and Storm Empress. Time Dominator has the ability to move the Safe Zone towards it, while Storm Empress can summon a massive tornado that lifts and damages enemies over time.

The Sunder Realms map has undergone a significant transformation. New terrains, structures, and landmarks have been added, including ramps for sliding, upgraded buildings for cover, and unique sights like giant duck statues and floating boulders.

The new Tactical Core system is another exciting addition. As you level up, you'll earn Trait points to enhance your hero's skills and unlock new abilities. To fully maximize these abilities, you'll need Trait Activation Cards, so keep an eye out for those.
