Final Fantasy XVI PC Performance: A High-End Struggle
While developer Naoki Yoshida recently requested fans avoid creating offensive PC mods, the game's performance is a more pressing concern. Even top-tier hardware struggles to maintain expected performance. Many anticipated smooth 4K 60fps gameplay, but benchmarks reveal this isn't easily achievable, even with the powerful NVIDIA RTX 4090.
DSOGaming's John Papadopoulos reports consistent 60fps at native 4K with maximum settings is challenging. This is surprising given the RTX 4090's capabilities.
However, utilizing DLSS 3 Frame Generation with DLAA can reportedly boost frame rates consistently above 80fps. DLSS 3 leverages AI for frame generation, while DLAA is an anti-aliasing technique improving image quality without significant performance penalties.
