Fortnite's new Reload mode throws 40 players into a smaller, nostalgia-filled map packed with iconic locations from past updates. This fast-paced mode offers a unique twist on classic Fortnite gameplay.

What Makes Reload Mode Different?

This mode emphasizes squad survival. A full squad wipe means elimination; there are no second chances. Whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build, the goal remains the same: be the last squad standing.

The action unfolds on a compact island featuring fan-favorite locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. While drivable vehicles are absent, the loot pool is brimming with unvaulted weapons, including old favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.

Victory Crowns remain in play. Rebooted players return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds intensity, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40, but can be reduced by eliminating opponents. Players can choose to initiate their reboot immediately.

Elimination and Strategy

Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, various ammo types, and 50 of each building material (in Build mode), keeping the battle intense and resource-driven.

Rewards and Challenges

Reload mode also introduces intro quests offering significant XP rewards. Complete three quests to unlock the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. A Victory Royale earns you The Rezzbrella Glider.
