In Freedom Wars Remastered, each Abductor you face has a health bar prominently displayed on its torso. To defeat these formidable foes, players can employ a diverse arsenal of combat items and weapons, each designed to chip away at the Abductor's health in unique ways. For instance, Light Melee weapons are perfect for severing specific parts of the Abductor, while Impact Damage plays a crucial role in your overall combat strategy.

Mastering the use of Impact Damage can drastically enhance your ability to take down Abductors swiftly. This guide will delve into the mechanics of Impact Damage and provide insights on how to effectively utilize it to dominate Abductors in Freedom Wars Remastered.

What Does Impact Damage Do In Freedom Wars Remastered?

Impact Damage, commonly associated with Heavy Melee and select Ranged Weapons, is a key component in your combat arsenal. While you might see a percentage alongside Impact Damage, this doesn't directly correlate to an increase in your total damage output. Instead, Impact Damage delivers non-elemental hits that amplify the force of your regular attacks, thereby boosting the Abductor's stagger rate.

When the stagger meter reaches its threshold, the Abductor will stagger, fall, or exhibit a unique reaction, presenting you with a golden window to unleash substantial damage before it regains its composure. The stagger meter, unlike the health bar, remains invisible, meaning the Abductor can stagger unexpectedly once the rate hits the critical point. This unpredictability can work in your favor, especially in offline play, allowing you to prepare a powerful follow-up attack. However, in online scenarios, staggering the Abductor might disrupt your teammates' attack patterns. Some Abductors, like Ramosa, react by moving backward when staggered, adding an extra layer of challenge to landing precise hits or binds.

How To Increase Stagger Damage In Freedom Wars Remastered

To enhance your Stagger Damage, you'll need to unlock the Weapon Development Facility. This facility is your gateway to crafting and customizing your gear, offering a plethora of options for weapon enhancements. Navigate to the Manufacture Modules section to create a module tailored to your needs, using resources like Glassy Carbon, which you can gather during Basic Operations.

Once you've collected the necessary materials, you can further refine your modules by selecting the Synthesize Modules option. This allows you to combine multiple modules of the same type, thereby boosting their potency. After crafting your Stagger Damage Up Module, attach it to your weapon to elevate its Impact Damage, significantly improving your capacity to stagger Abductors during combat.

Given that Impact Damage is non-elemental, prioritizing physical damage upgrades over elemental enhancements will ensure you're maximizing your stagger potential. This makes the Stagger Damage Up module particularly invaluable for players wielding heavy melee weapons or certain ranged weapons adept at building stagger.
