Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a thrilling real-time strategy game, was revealed at the Summer Game Fest announcement show.

Slated for a 2026 PC release on Steam, a cinematic trailer highlighted an iconic Game of Thrones battle, offering players the chance to alter its outcome compared to the TV series or books.

With Tywin Lannister’s commanding voice (Charles Dance) narrating, the trailer depicts the Night King seizing Jon Snow (resembling Kit Harrington). No stranger to death, Jon’s fate hangs in the balance.

War for Westeros lets you lead one of four factions—House Stark, House Lannister, House Targaryen, or the Night King—forming alliances or betraying foes as you command legendary heroes and armies.

Spanning Westeros, from the icy Wall to the bustling King’s Landing, the game offers solo campaigns or intense real-time multiplayer battles.

“This isn’t just watching Game of Thrones—it’s living it,” said game director Ryan McMahon. “War for Westeros places you in the heart of power, whether leading the Starks, Targaryens, Lannisters, or the Night King’s undead forces, shaping the destiny of the realm.”
