Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the Game Museum! This expansive museum, located in Piazza della Repubblica, is now open to the public. The brainchild of Marco Accordi Rickards (writer, journalist, professor, and CEO of Vigamus), GAMM represents a significant leap forward in preserving and celebrating video game history. Building on the success of Vigamus, another Roman gaming museum that has drawn over two million visitors since 2012, GAMM promises an immersive experience.

Spanning 700 square meters across two floors, GAMM is divided into three captivating sections:

GAMMDOME: A dynamic digital playground featuring interactive exhibits and genuine gaming artifacts, including consoles and donated items. This area embodies the "4 E Concept": Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.

PARC (Path of Arcadia): A nostalgic trip back to the golden age of arcade games, showcasing classic titles from the late 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s.

HIP (Historical Playground): A deep dive into game design, mechanics, and interactive structures. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of gaming.

GAMM is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Fridays and Saturdays until 11:30 PM. Tickets cost 15 euros. Visit the official GAMM website for more information.
