The company has remained largely silent since Godfall's release in 2020, making no announcements of new projects. The post suggests Counterplay Games "disbanded," likely sometime near the end of 2024.

Godfall, despite being a PS5 launch title, failed to capture a substantial player base. Critics cited repetitive gameplay and a weak narrative as contributing factors to its poor sales performance.
