Unlocking the Gold Armor Vest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies on The Tomb Map

Gold Armor is a game-changer in Call of Duty Zombies, offering self-repairing capabilities that significantly improve survivability. This guide details how to obtain this powerful upgrade on The Tomb map in Black Ops 6.

The Power of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plates. This is especially crucial against powerful enemies like Amalgams, ensuring you always have sufficient protection. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair feature enhances resource management.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate Statue Heads: Two statue heads are required. These are found within the Dark Aether Nexus, concealed in destructible wooden boxes. Melee attacks are necessary to break open the boxes. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal (see image below). The second is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine.

   

2. Repair Roman Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site. Place them on the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, the other near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area). Interacting with the statues will initiate a "Blood Sacrifice."

3. Survive the Blood Sacrifice: This challenging event pits you against multiple high-value target (HVT) versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The sacrifice reduces your health to 1 HP, making armor crucial. Strategies for survival include:

   • Solo: Use a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, rendering you invulnerable during the sacrifice. Melee the HVTs.
   • Co-op: Have one player activate the sacrifice, while another uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.

4. Claim Your Reward: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available for purchase at the Roman Mausoleum's Wall Buy.
