GTA Designer Unveils Techno Spy Thriller: MindsEye
Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind iconic titles such as Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is gearing up to unveil his latest creation, MindsEye. This highly anticipated game recently showcased a fresh perspective during the PlayStation State of Play.
In the newly released trailer for MindsEye, fans were treated to a glimpse of this cutting-edge spy thriller, which bears striking similarities to the beloved Grand Theft Auto series. The game features third-person shooting mechanics, stunning high-end cinematics, and dynamic drive-and-shoot sequences. You can immerse yourself in the cinematic trailer below.
According to the official press release, *MindsEye* centers on the journey of Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This implant, however, has disrupted his memory, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military past. As Diaz embarks on a mission to unravel the mysteries of his history, he confronts an AI-driven military force determined to thwart his efforts.MindsEye has been on our radar for several years now. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy and collaborated with the developers of Hitman, IO Interactive, to bring MindsEye to life. Touted as a AAA action-adventure game, MindsEye is also set to debut the Everywhere platform, which we previously described as a "big-budget Roblox" after visiting their studio in 2024.
While the new trailer did not delve into the Everywhere platform, MindsEye itself promises to be a thrilling new entry in the action genre from one of its most renowned creators. The game is slated for release in the summer of 2025.
