Exciting news emerged from Star Wars Celebration: Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the highly anticipated Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. Christensen made a special appearance at the Ahsoka panel during the celebration and shared his enthusiasm about returning to the iconic character. "It was a dream to get to do," Christensen remarked. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting."

Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni, playfully mentioned that he had to invent entire dimensions just to collaborate with Christensen again. "I had to find a way to work with Hayden/Anakin again and had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen," Filoni quipped.

Christensen also revealed that he and the creative team delved deep into discussions about Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars. "All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action," he said. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look."

During the panel, Filoni discussed how their shared history with George Lucas helped them bond and enhance their understanding of Anakin's character. This collaboration allowed them to fill in knowledge gaps and create a comprehensive portrayal of Anakin. "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on Lucas's influence.
