Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless other titles, has shared a moving message of gratitude following a serious health scare. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room, where he was attending a benefit event for the National Alzheimer's Association.

A video posted to a GoFundMe page, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 to cover medical expenses and other bills, reveals Johnson spent several days in a coma. In the video, he expresses his overwhelming appreciation for the outpouring of support: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

The incident unfolded when Johnson failed to appear at the event. His wife, Kim Johnson, contacted the hotel, leading to security personnel and EMTs discovering him in critical condition.

"Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here," Johnson shared. He credits his wife's quick thinking and the actions of his son, who contacted hotel security, with saving his life. He also acknowledges the immediate support of friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and Kim, who organized the GoFundMe campaign.

Johnson extends heartfelt thanks to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family during this difficult time, to Ted Leonsis, chairman of the Washington Capitals parent company, for a generous $25,000 donation, and to Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say that I'm your friend. I am," he said, addressing Bethesda. "Always will be. Love you guys." He concludes with a message to his fans: "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere. It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing you all then. Cheers."
