MachineGames Creative Director, Jens Andersson, shared with IGN that "Indiana Jones is a dog person." This philosophy translates into gameplay where Indy, despite engaging in intense combat with human foes, will interact with dogs without causing them harm – a significant departure from the studio's previous, more violent titles like Wolfenstein.

Andersson explained, "It’s a family-friendly IP in many ways," highlighting the studio's approach to maintaining the spirit of the franchise. "We have dogs as encounters, but you don't hurt them. You scare them away."

Launching December 9th on Xbox Series X|S and PC (with a tentative Spring 2025 PS5 release), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set in 1937, bridging Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The narrative follows Indy as he pursues stolen artifacts, leading him on a thrilling journey from the Vatican to the Egyptian pyramids and the submerged temples of Sukhothai.
