Indus picks up five million downloads and concludes first international playtest in Manila
Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, has achieved a significant milestone with over five million Android downloads and 100,000 iOS downloads within just two months of its launch. This success follows a triumphant international playtest in Manila and a prestigious Google Play Award win for "Best Made in India Game 2024."
SuperGaming, the developer behind Indus, aims to establish the game as a leading force in Indian gaming, surpassing competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit provided valuable feedback and exposure, allowing local esports professionals to experience the game firsthand.
Further bolstering its esports ambitions, SuperGaming launched the Clutch India Movement, culminating in the Indus International Tournament. This tournament, running from October 2024 to February 2025, boasts a substantial INR 2.5 crore (approximately $31,000 USD) prize pool.

While Indus's five million downloads fall slightly short of its initial ten million pre-registrations (a common occurrence), the figures remain highly impressive. The lower iOS download count suggests a need for further engagement with that player base.
