Infinity Nikki 1.5 Controversy: Compensation Details Revealed

Infinity Nikki has announced compensation for the issues encountered in the release of version 1.5. Dive in to discover what players can expect as compensation and what steps developer Infold Games is taking to address the game's shortcomings.
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates
Free Diamonds as Compensation
Infold Games released version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki amid high expectations from fans, promising significant enhancements. However, the update fell short, leading to a host of technical issues and bugs across various platforms, some of which made the game unplayable. Additionally, unexpected changes increased the cost of 5-star outfits from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces, raising the maximum number of pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220. This change made acquiring full sets more expensive and time-consuming for players.

The update also introduced a new dye system, which players found confusing and cumbersome due to the need to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. Moreover, the Threads of Reunion storyline was removed because the associated outfit is still in development. Infold Games acknowledged these issues in a Twitter (X) post on May 18, stating, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced compensation: "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond 120 and Energy Crystal 1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond 960 and Energy Crystal 8." Despite this, the studio has yet to outline specific plans to address the issues, prompting fans to voice their concerns about the pity change, the dye system, and other bugs.
Delayed Version 1.6

Due to the problems with version 1.5, the developers have extended its duration to allow more time for fixes, delaying version 1.6 until June 12, 2025. This delay impacts the release and schedule of in-game events. The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20, will now debut in version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." As compensation for this delay, players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way

Infold Games is addressing the broader issues caused by version 1.5, stating, "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates." To enhance communication with the community, the developers are launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. Players can share their feedback and concerns directly with the developers by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Expressing both regret and gratitude, Infold Games stated, "We feel guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They promise to make Infinity Nikki "shine brighter than ever." The game is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC.
