Jon Bernthal's Punisher Will Return After Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 in a Guardians of the Galaxy-Style Marvel Special
Jon Bernthal's Punisher is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not in a full series, but in a special presentation reminiscent of a Guardians of the Galaxy style adventure. Entertainment Weekly reports Bernthal will also contribute to the script, collaborating with We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green. Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, describes the special as a "shotgun blast of a story," while still retaining the emotional depth expected of a Frank Castle narrative.

This Punisher one-shot arrives as Marvel Television prepares the Defenders' return to Disney+.
