Embracer Group has announced phenomenal sales figures for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, reporting sales nearing the 2 million mark just ten days after its release. The game, developed by Warhorse Studios, achieved an impressive 1 million copies sold within a single day of launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. This success is particularly noteworthy on Steam, where the game boasted over 250,000 peak concurrent players—a significant leap from the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 players seven years prior. While the actual peak concurrent player count is likely higher due to console sales, data from Sony and Microsoft remains unavailable.

Embracer, parent company of Warhorse Studios via its subsidiary Plaion, highlighted the game's success, praising both player and critical reception alongside strong sales performance. CEO Lars Wingefors expressed confidence in the game's continued revenue generation over the next few years, citing its high quality and immersive gameplay. He also noted Warhorse Studios' planned updates and new content over the next 12 months.

Beyond Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Embracer anticipates the release of Killing Floor 3 later this quarter (January-March 2025). The company boasts over 5,000 game developers working on upcoming titles, including 10 triple-A games scheduled for release over the next three financial years (FY 2025/26, FY 2026/27, and FY 2027/28). Eight of these are from internal studios, and two from external partners. FY 2025/26 will see two triple-A releases towards the year's end, alongside several mid-sized titles including Gothic 1 Remake, REANIMAL, Fellowship, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, Titan Quest II, Screamer, Echoes of the End (working title), Tides of Tomorrow, Satisfactory (console), and the full release of Wreckfest 2, with additional unannounced mid-sized games also in development.

Embracer's recent history includes restructuring, involving staff reductions and the sale of several studios, including Gearbox and Saber Interactive. However, the company retains ownership of 4A Games, currently developing a new entry in the Metro series.
