Ubisoft has been experiencing a challenging time with its unannounced project, Project U. Gameplay leaks first emerged in 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase began. These leaks have resurfaced two years later, indicating that the game is still in development. Recently, following what appears to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has been leaked online.

The authenticity and source of the cinematic remain unconfirmed. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber hinted that more videos from Project U could surface if the game's development continues for an extended period.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's storyline centers on an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of chosen individuals tasked with fighting this extraterrestrial threat.

As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official information on when Project U will be formally announced.
