Light of Motiram, Tencent\'s upcoming Horizon-inspired open-world RPG, looks like it\'s coming to mobile
Tencent-owned Polaris Quest's upcoming open-world RPG, Light of Motiram, is set to launch on mobile, alongside releases on Epic Games Store, Steam, and PlayStation 5. This ambitious title boasts a compelling blend of features including base-building, survival elements, creature collection and customization, cooperative gameplay, and even cross-play functionality.
The game's description is a whirlwind tour of genres. Initially appearing as a Genshin Impact-style open-world RPG, Light of Motiram also incorporates base-building reminiscent of Rust, and features giant customizable mechanical creatures reminiscent of Horizon Zero Dawn or even Palworld. This eclectic mix of mechanics raises questions about its feasibility, especially on mobile platforms.
The sheer breadth of features—a veritable kitchen sink of gameplay elements—is both surprising and intriguing.
